Community Resource Network of Florida, Inc. began service to its first individuals on September 1, 2009, in response to a community need for a local organization to provide continuation of care to many individuals in the area. These individuals were experiencing a decrease of providers willing to stay in the area and provide care when severe funding cuts were being proposed and many more already having been implemented. Since that date, CRN has grown exponentially not as a corporate behemoth, but as a small, locally owned and managed enterprise. While other providers were cutting services, CRN accepted more and more individuals and added additional services, like Adult Day Training, Medicaid Personal Care and Supported Living to meet the obvious need throughout our communities. Today, CRN provides services to nearly 500 individuals and employs over 140 dedicated para-professionals.

CRN has had the privilege of adopting an incredible number of employees who have been the direct caregivers to their individuals under Medwaiver services for over a decade. The total years of direct experience from its combined employees exceeds 500 years…. YES, 500 years!

The future….. CRN continues to grow throughout Southwest Florida and plans to expand east and north in the next several years in all services it currently provides. In addition to these existing services, under the direction of its key staff, CRN is hopeful that private daycare will become a reality for individuals with special needs in our community. We strive to adopt the individuals priorities as our own to help them thrive in the community. We are driven by the needs of the individuals we serve.
